Frank Chiaino

Founder and President

Frank Chiaino is Founder and President of Fibertech Networks. As an original founder, Chiaino helped guide Fibertech through two successful rounds of financing.

Prior to joining Fibertech, Chiaino served as President and CEO of FiberNet Telecom Group, an integrated provider of intra-building networks and competitive local telecommunications services.

Preceding his tenure with FiberNet, Chiaino enjoyed a 30-year career with Time Warner Cable. After building and managing the nation's first urban cable system as Vice President, COO of Time Inc.'s Manhattan Cable subsidiary, he became President and CEO of Time Warner's cable and telephone operations in Rochester, NY. He also served concurrently as a Time Warner Cable Vice President.

In 1992, Chiaino directed a $100 million upgrade of the Time Warner cable system, involving more than 3,500 route miles and using hybrid fiber coax transport technology.

In Rochester, Chiaino led the development of one of America's first facilities-based Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) operations. As a result, Time Warner was able to offer special access, dedicated, switched and enhanced data services to residential and business customers. This effort led to Chiaino's citation as 1995 Cablevision Magazine "Innovator of the Year." Chiaino attended Queens College and earned an MBA from the Columbia Business School.
